This year marks a very special anniversary for the premiere bridal magazine in the Philippines, Metro Weddings, as they celebrate their 10th year anniversary in the industry. 10 wonderful years of bringing Filipina brides-to-be all the information they need in planning their special and unique wedding celebration.

"Metro Weddings is truly a pioneer in the industry," former Editor-in-Chief Romina Urra-Gonzales says. "It began as a beautiful bridal must-have for brides 10 years ago, and we've continued the tradition from then on constantly being at the forefront of the industry while being both modern and timeless at the same time."

Indeed, Metro Weddings Magazine has grown in leaps and bounds since it began 10 years ago. Fostering a solid community of suppliers, partners, former brides, and friends, the magazine has established itself firmly in the wedding industry as a trendsetter, an information source, and an all-around must-have for every type of bride planning her special wedding. The magazine continues to present engaged couples countless inspiration ideas, themes, must-try suppliers, and visually stunning images to help them achieve the wedding of their dreams.

"It is such an honor to be a part of this inventive, unique, and wonderful tradition," current Editor-in-Chief Michelle Katigbak Alejandro shares. "We constantly strive to continue the excellence the magazine has become known for and broaden our horizons even further. We can ensure all Filipina brides that while the past 10 years has been wonderful and amazing, this is only the beginning!"

On the cover of the 10th anniversary issue is beautiful bride-to-be Celine Lopez, shot by Doc Marlon Pecjo. "Celine is the perfect embodiment of a unique and trendy modern bride and at the same time, she has a timeless classic beauty and fashion sense, and we couldn't be happier celebrating our 10 year special with her," Michelle says.

In addition, to celebrate the release of their 10th year anniversary issue, the Metro Weddings team came up with a commemorative exhibit aptly entitled, “10th” – a collection of 10 timeless bridal looks namely: vintage, romantic, classic, modern, glamour, urban, seaside, bohemian, country and couture. The Metro Weddings team collaborated with their loyal photographers, stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists, and gown designers to come up with these breathtaking looks. Also, ten photos from the previous issues were selected to represent the said themes as a tribute to Metro Weddings’ past, while Goldilocks interpreted these themes in different wedding cakes. The exhibit will be on display at the South Court of Power Plant Mall from July 13 to July 18.

The 10th anniversary celebration will culminate in September with Metrowear Bridal - a fashion show featuring the works of Cary Santiago.
