daytime garden wedding, make up should use nude, light colors
to keep the face looking fresh and simple. As daytime weddings
are more informal than evening celebrations, hair can be tied
to a soft, loose chignon or hair can be let down, with soft

For a nighttime celebration, light make up colors are still
recommended. Make up can emphasize the lips to create a dramatic

colors match an evening occasion.
For the design or style, tube, spaghetti-strapped,
or halter would not only look nice, but
will also be comfortable for a daytime garden
wedding. At night, soft flowing, A-line
or semi-balloon gowns are some of the options.
Sexy silhouettes would be ok too. Should
the evening prove to be a little cooler,
a matching shawl or bolero would be useful.
For
a garden wedding, the cake designs to choose from

or chocolate are just some of the choices. But
factors to consider are temperature or heat, lighting
and colors.

Temperature - If the cake will be placed in a
warm area (especially outdoors, under sunlight),
it will not hold up for a long period if it’s
covered in buttercream or chocolate. A cake covered
with fondant, on the other hand, will hold up
for a longer time. For a daytime outdoor wedding,
also consider placing the cake inside a tent or
gazebo, or under the shade of a tree.
Lighting - For a nighttime garden wedding, enhance
the beauty of the cake by putting dramatic lighting.
Some garden areas may be poorly lit so consult
your caterer or venue coordinator to add more
lights where the cake will be placed.
Colors - For daytime cakes, light or pastel colors
would be attractive versus at night where deep
or darker shades would be more dramatic.
