wins 2 Web Awards
Kasal.com,
the essential Filipino wedding guide, was adjudged the Best
Website and People's Choice for Home and Living at the 5th
Philippine Web Awards last November 29 at Dusit Hotel Nikko,
Makati.
The
site won over nine semi-finalists for the People's Choice
Award and four finalists for the Best Website Award.
The
reviewers and judges of the Web Awards rated the nominated
sites on four criteria, namely, content, design, usability
and functionality. For the People's Choice Award, the winners
were determined through online and mobile phone votes.
This
is the second time that Kasal.com, one of the brands of Web
Philippines, Inc., was nominated in the Web Awards.
Mathel
B. Ong, brand manager of Kasal.com, says, "Kasal.com
will continue to offer more services to make it faster and
easier for couples-to-be to plan their wedding, and for local
wedding suppliers to take advantage of the benefits of the
Internet." She adds, "By connecting the couples-to-be
to our local wedding suppliers (and also local destinations)
and by helping SMEs bring their business online, we hope to
help our government in making the Philippines a prime wedding
destination in Asia."
