| Bohol Beach Club

Sitting on a 60-hectare
beachshore property, Bohol Beach Club offers the longest stretch
of fine, powdery white sand. And since its beach is exclusive
to resort guests, I really had my much needed space and serenity. |

After an early morning
flight and whole day tour, we had an early dinner in one of
its al fresco restaurants. I enjoyed their sumptuous buffet,
with the sunset as my view, and the locals serenading me with
their music.
Afterwards, we walked down
their little version of Bilar man-made forest. Lit sea shells
serve as its lamp posts. I can already imagine how this would
make a nice backdrop for wedding pictorialsÖ |

My
lovely beach front cottage, with its glass doors and
little veranda, provided me with a picturesque sight
of the beach's pristine blue waters when I woke up in
the morning. I was torn between lazing in my soft bed,
enjoying the cool breeze in my room, or jogging in its
1.5 km. stretch of private white sands. The latter won
over, and before long, I was already wading in the beach's
clear blue waters and having the time of my life floating
in the waters, watching the sun rise. |

After
a big breakfast (I can't seem to have enough of their
freshly baked soft little buns), I decided to try scuba
diving. Since it was my first time, I had to undergo
a little scuba diving lesson from the resort's ever-patient
PADI certified instructor Manong Edgar. |

Bohol Beach Club has different types of
accommodation:
Superior cottages
facing the garden or swimming pool
De luxe beach front
cottages
Executive suites feature
a parlor area leading to a bedroom, and
private veranda
Family suites feature
a parlor area leading to 2 bedrooms, and
private veranda with jacuzzi
With its new wing, it offers standard room
accommodations for the budget-minded.
All rooms have air conditioning system,
hot and cold shower, cable television, and
mini-bar.

| And
what an experience I had underwater, seeing up
close a kaleidoscope of marine life! Different
colors of sea stars, urchins, anemones, nudibranches,
and different kind of fishes - clown fish, lion
fish, angelfish, groupersÖ (forgive my superlatives,
I was just a happy snorkeler before). |
|
|
The
almost 1 hour underwater tired a beginner like me. And
after a |
|
quick shower, I immediately
rested in one the hammocks in front of my cottage and let
the cool breeze, soft sound of the rolling waves lull me to
sleep. |

After
a quick nap, we decided to eat a late lunch in their
al fresco mini-bar facing the beach. Time passed by
as we enjoyed the resort's fresh seafood and talked
about anything under the sun.
As the day draws to
a close, I rewarded myself with a massage in the open
hut facing the beach. I let the masseuse works its wonders
on my tired, stressed limbs as I watch the sky romantically
fades to the colors of orange, pink and lilac. |

services I personally tried in the resort are:
Snorkeling
- For just PhP 500.00 boat rental , you can already
have one hour of snorkeling with your family or friends.
Just inquire with the lovely Mi Amor in their dive shop.
Glass
Boat Ride - The resort offers FREE 15-min. glass
boat ride at around 11:00am. A part of the boat's bottom
panel is made of glass, so you can see the coral reef,

underwater. This is enjoyable especially for kids and elders,
or simply those who cannot or do not want to go snorkeling
or scuba diving (my aunt vouched that the glass boat ride
is the one she enjoyed the most during our trip). |

Bohol Beach Club has pool bar, beach
bar, restaurant, swimming pool, outdoor
jacuzzi, scuba diving, glass bottom
boat, tennis court, billards, darts,
chess, table tennis and backgammon.

With
the resort's complete amenities and the natural
beauty of the place, it was not difficult to imagine
living there forever. What is more difficult is
saying goodbye to the place and wondering when
I can find the time to come back again. So as
I thanked the resort for its warm hospitality,
I bade instead, "till |

meet again," for I know I shall be coming back again
and again to this resort I already consider my home
