at Kasalang Filipino 2009 Leg

Philippine Idol first runner-up Gian Magdangal
sings his heart out to soon to wed couples &
guests during the wedding fair and exhibit.
Wedding suppliers from all
over Northern Luzon teamed up to promote Dagupan as the new
wedding destination last March 14 - 15, 2009 at the CSI Stadia
(Jimmy L. Fernandez Center) in Dagupan.
Aptly titled, "Weddings in
the North wedding fair and exhibit", the fourth leg of Kasalang
Filipino 2009, co-presented by Kasal.com and ABS-CBN Regional
Network Group in cooperation with CSI Stadia, Pond's, and USATV,
began with the table setting and table skirting competition
participated by different schools and universities. Afterwards,
representatives from Mama Sita shared tips and tricks during
the cooking demonstration and food tasting activity. As highlight
of the first day, Philippine Idol first runner-up Gian Magdangal
serenaded soon to wed couples and guest with songs from his
first solo album, Love Tracks.

Dagupan Mayor Alipio F. Fernandez, Jr., shared, “Kasalang
Filipino is always an observance of our wedding tradition at
ganun din, ang kasal sa atin [also, weddings in the Philippines]
is a well-valued and remembered occasion”. Mayor Fernandez
hopes that Kasalang Filipino program can help, not only the
wedding industry, but the economy and tourism of Dagupan as
well.

On the second day, Ever Bilena
Cosmetics gave a free make up demonstration followed by the
Gandang Pinay Bridal Make up Competition. Jose Nino Amora’
work stand out among other professional and amateur make-up
artists, thus earning himself the grand prize of PhP. 20, 000.00
worth of Ever Bilena products, 1-year Gold Priority Listing
advertising in Kasal.com worth PhP. 5, 000.00, and a trophy.
Colegio de Dagupan won the
table skirting competition while students from University of
Luzon bagged the award for best table set-up. Wedding in the
North ended with a parade of the latest wedding creations of
Mrs. Luchi Vicente of Covers Fashion Studio.
