Bicolandia's Beauty Stood
out at Kasalang Filipino 2009 Fifth Leg
22 May 2009
Fiesta-like wedding. Ethnic dancers during
the opening ceremony of the Magayon
Wedding Festival made the festive sprit
of the event even more vibrant.
Truly, magayon (beautiful)
was a fitting description for the fifth leg of Kasalang Filipino
2009 12-city wedding fair road show as Bicol’s finest
wedding suppliers paraded their products and services at the
Pepperland Hotel in Legazpi City, Albay last April 24 –
25, 2009.
The first day of Magayon Wedding
Festival, co-presented by Kasal.com and ABS-CBN Regional Network
Group in cooperation with Pepperland Hotel and Pacific Mall,
began with a motorcade and street dancing presentation. Later,
florist and wedding specialist Mr. Jeff Bergancia demonstrated
his skill in wedding flower arrangement. Ms. Maybelle Miraflor
– Azul of Bei Eventi Event Planner and Coordinator shared
tips on how to plan and prepare for a wedding. Local fondant
expert Mr. Renan Yulo of Round and Squares Pastries gave a mouthwatering
demo on baking and cake decoration. Representatives from Pepperland
Hotel, on the other hand, demonstrated table napkin folding.
Albay Congressman Al Francis
Bichara, Albay 1st District Board Member Glenda Bongao, Legazpi
City Mayor Noel Rosa, and Pacific Mall Manager Ms. Cecille Gamboa,
graced with their presence the ribbon cutting of the wedding
fair and exhibit. The first day was concluded with the ‘I
Do’ Bridal Fashion show by Anthony Fortuno of Fashion
Literacy.
The second day of the wedding
fair and exhibit started off with the Ever Bilena Bridal Make-up
demonstration followed by the Gandang Pinay Bridal Make up Competition.
During the two-day wedding
fair and exhibit, representatives from the National Statistics
Office and local Civil Registry Office accommodated inquiries
of soon-to-wed couples and participants. Couples who attended
the event received free gift pack while lucky couples received
special gift packs and gift certificates courtesy of the event
sponsors.
