Suppliers Showcased At Kadayawan Wedding Festival

Kadayawan Wedding Festival
wedding fair and exhibit showcased Southern Mindanao’s
wedding culture as well as the products and services of the
wedding suppliers of Davao City and nearby provinces last August
14 - 16, 2009 at the NCCC Mall Davao in Davao City.
Aside from wedding displays
of Southern Mindanao's premier wedding suppliers, the ninth
leg of Kasalang Filipino 2009, co-presented by Kasal.com, ABS-CBN
Regional Network Group, and NCCC Mall Davao, was filled with
numerous activities. Attending couples were serenaded by some
of Mindanao’s best wedding singers and entertainment providers.
Renowned flower and event stylist Henry Pascual conducted a
talk and free demonstration on the latest in event styling.
Davao's very own Benjamin Young III talked about wedding photography
and showed some samples of his works here and abroad.
Some of Davao’s aspiring
and professional make-up demonstrated their skills during the
Ever Bilena Gandang Pinay Bridal make up competition. But it
was Mr. James Yabu who stood out among his colleagues and won
himself the grand prize of PhP. 20, 000.00 worth of Ever Bilena
products, 1-year Gold Priority Listing advertising in Kasal.com
worth PhP. 5, 000.00, and a trophy. Make up artists Ms. Riz
Lyka Ayuste and Mr. Gilbert Amable were declared first and second
runner ups, respectively.
Kadayawan Wedding Festival
concluded with a fashion show, showcasing the works of some
of the best bridal couturiers of Mindanao. All the couples who
attended the event received free gift packs while lucky couples
received special gift packs and gift certificates courtesy of
the event sponsors.
Kasalang Filipino
2009 is a nationwide wedding fair road show, which
ties twelve (12) Philippine cities with one goal of promoting
the local wedding industry. The following are the 12 cities
of the 2009 road show – San Pablo, Tagaytay, Tarlac, Dagupan,
Legazpi, Dumaguete, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Bacolod,
Manila, and Cebu. This year’s Kasalang Filipino is endorsed
by the Department of Tourism.
