Local Tribes
The mountains and forests of Davao del Norte serve as
the dwelling of the Talaingod, Ata, Mansaka, and Dibabaon
tribal communities.

The province is famous for its vast banana and fruit

TADECO
Banana Plantation
Location: Brgy. A.O. Floirendo, Panabo City, Davao del
Norte
Managed by the Tagum Agricultural Development Co., Inc.
(TADECO), this is the biggest banana plantation the
country. The plantation is one of the main producers
of Cavendish bananas, which are exported in many countries.

This 4-hectare flower garden is filled with a variety
of cut flowers, denrobriums, bromiliads, and ornamental
plants.
Nestle Experimental
Demonstration Farm
Location: Tagum City, Davao del Norte
Established in 1994, the farm provides technologically-advanced
farming tools and methods to coffee farmers of Davao
del Norte. The experimental demonstration farm aims
to reduce the gap between the supply and demand for
coffee beans.

Barcelo
Pearl Farm Beach Resort
Location: Samal Island, Davao del Norte
This 11-hectare area was once a pearl farm where thousand
of white-lipped oysters were cultivated for their pink,
white, and gold pearls. Currently, this private resort
is one of the most famous destinations in the province.

Banana Festival

The festival pays tribute to the largest economic contributor
and the province’s number one export – bananas.
Activities include street dancing and agri-trade fair.
Pangapog
Festival
Place: Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte
Date: first week of August
The feast showcases the rich culture of the indigenous
Sama tribe. Also, locals fill the streets as they watch
presentations such as street dancing, traditional dancing
and singing and other activities lined up by the organizers.
Andaon Festival
(Dibabawon Community Festival)
Place: Kapalong, Davao del Norte
Date: First week of September
This tribal community gives thanks to Taginihit (God)
for the good harvest, good health, and good future for
all the people. The main celebration is held at Mt.
Sangan.

Tagum City is only an hour's drive from the Davao
International Airport.
By Sea
Sea vessels are bound docks at Sasa Wharf in Davao
City. For there, Tagum City is only an hour's drive.
