On that special wedding day, every bride wants to look their best and be at her most beautiful. But what brides neglect to know are the factors required to bring out the best in a bride through make-up. Some make-up artists turn to passion while others claim technique is obligatory. For pioneer make-up artist, Ms. Faye Young, bridal make-up artistry is part art, part science and part service.

Make-up As an Art
Ms. Faye Young is an artist, to say the least. But since make-up is dynamic, being an artist is no longer enough. Continuous improvement in one's craft must be developed which is exactly what Ms. Faye does. Investing in her studies is what makes Ms. Faye an expert make-up artist and it is in her training that she finds her self-satisfaction as an artist.

In fact, Ms. Faye will be attending the biggest make-up convention which will be held in New York this coming April. Aside from upcoming workshops, Ms. Faye is fascinated with the lives of make-up artists abroad. "I follow their lives and see what they do in editorials and bridal weddings." This can then ensure that the artist in Ms. Faye is never one step behind.

Unfortunately, there are make-up artists who just buy the products that they need and learn from YouTube. Some even edit pictures of their works to be posted online. While the passion may be present in such make-up artists, the results are simply not at par. Trial make-up results speak for themselves which is where Ms. Faye is extremely confident in. "When you pay a professional; you get what you pay for."

Make-up As A Science
Ms. Faye explains that many make-up artists can attest to the difference of using professional make-up products compared to over-the-counter products. There is a science required to using professional make-up while over-the-counter make-up is simple applied and brushed to the skin. Unfortunately, many brides make the mistake of comparing make-up artists' rates to the artist alone. But in fact, the products to be used on the day of the event should be considered as well. When it comes to using professional make-up products, everything is available now. A simple concealer ten years ago is now available in five different forms. The task of choosing and mixing make-up products to be used would then be left to the make-up artist.

Professional make-up requires finding the right mix and pigments to be able to deliver the best for the bride. Coincidently, knowing the science between mixing and matching make-up comes with studies and training. Make-up does not only involve pure application especially with events that require the right products and techniques to make it last all day. The science behind make-up proves that there is much more to the technique of application.

Make-up As A Service
Although many make-up artists would know that make-up is part art and part science, bridal make-up adds in another factor which is service. "Service is about your taking good care of the bride on her wedding day." Make-up artists take care of the bride's look from morning until evening making sure she looks stunning in every angle. Without the possibility of second takes, rehearsals or repeats, the make-up should be spot on. Since all eyes and cameras will be on her, it is the make-up artist's job to make her look clean, fresh and stunning.

The services provided by Ms. Faye also include her dedication to her career. Working with such positive vibes early in the morning can bring in good feelings throughout the wedding day. Ms. Faye explains that she loves this business because it reminds her of the beautiful wedding she had back then. "So when the bride is happy, this makes me happy." While this type of service may not be written on paper, it is the kind of service Ms. Faye and her team willingly provide in every event.

Bridal make-up is an investment – an investment of all three factors. Paying for a bridal make-up artist should never be one over the other. With a combination of all three, however, this can produce stunning results.
