I began baking at a very young age. My mom was a home economics teacher, so the art of cooking has always been a part of my life.
Eventually, I thought of taking this passion of mine to a whole new level and considered starting my own cake and pastry business. To prepare for this new venture, I decided to hone my skills by attending Monster Kitchen Academy in Cagayan De Oro. It was where I was able to learn more advanced techniques which I could use in my business.
Besides learning new things from our mentors, I was also lucky to have been recognized by the same institution for my talents. During my stay there, I was awarded the Master Baker Silver Medal, as well as the Distinction Award Silver Medal in Baking and Pastry Arts.
Ready for bigger challenges, I came up with Anastasia Lee Cakes. It was in 2016 and I have been busy creating and selling delicious cakes and pastries since then.
To prepare for this year’s wedding expo in Cagayan de Oro, I studied Cake Mapping as no one is offering it yet in our area. It is a unique way of wedding cake presentation, where a stock image or animation could be projected onto the cake for an additional wow factor. It is a clever way of combining advanced technologies and cake artistry.
I think what sets my business apart is that I add personal touch to my creations. Whenever I bake a cake or pastry, I involve myself in the creation process. To me, these cakes aren't just mere products; they are my masterpieces.
