I started hosting events at age 13, my first events are church activities and socializing. Initial official event with compensation is hosting the Women’s Month Celebration at SM Dasmariñas, through the supervision of RunCav Talents when I was in first year college. Then immediately followed by my first wedding event is at Windsor Heights with Twinkles Wedding Library. I was really nervous with that first wedding event for most of the guests are foreigners and balikbayan. The cool breeze in Tagaytay even ads up to my goose bumps and butterflies in the stomach. Still not to boast, I would like to humbly state that I guess did good back then for my career has prospered. It was then followed by different events such as debut, corporate and other hosting stints. As I became more exposed with various guests and suppliers, Host Jam network then continue to expand. As of now I’m affiliated with 37 coordinators, venues, catering services, florist, stylist, lights and sounds, and other suppliers (list of tie up suppliers can available upon request) who are including Host Jam as part of their packages or referring me to their clients.

After bachelor’s graduation I went straight to teaching at Cavite State University Imus Campus while taking my Master of Arts in International Relations at Lyceum of the Philippines Manila Campus at the same time having a hosting stints on the side. When I finished my Master’s degree I stopped teaching alongside. Though I truly love my teaching profession, I know deep in my heart that I need to marry hosting career because I am more passionate about this craft. In connection to this, my considered career milestone was when I intentionally made the decision to make my “passion as my profession”. Being a full-time professional wedding emcee, I am now much devoted and focused to attending to my client needs and concerns. I have more time to meet them for program discussion. Plus, more time in contemplating and planning for the betterment and improvement of the program. For as they say being better is best. And as of May 2017 at age 25, I already hosted 454 weddings, 169 debut, 65 corporate, for the total of 688 events and counting…

I consider each of my events a great achievement. For I always considers all of my projects as exceptionally special, so as to serve every of my clients the best and finest services they deserve. Moreover, this is because of three things: 1) the appreciation the clients are giving, 2) long-term kind of relationship being established and 3) having the chance to be entrusted even with cosmopolitan weddings and events of co-suppliers.

The first time we met you at Tagaytay bridal fair we already knew that you will be the right host to add flavor on our wedding program unfortunately you are not available on our original wedding date. These reviews are truly overwhelming. Moreover, it is also overwhelming to hear words from a bride before the event that it is an answered prayer to have Host Jam as their wedding host (December 22, 2016: Marlon & Rose at Manila Southwoods Carmona). Having clients like them are my inspiration to do better.

I am much satisfied when long-term kind of relationship were built with the clients, mainly because they continuously refer Host Jam to their friends and relatives. I have also remembered last April 2016 when my FB was hacked, Mam Joy (January 17 2016 bride at Le Pavillion) was the first person who called to notify me. I was really touched by her concern, “Take care Jamie. I know you mostly go by yourself, you should be having a body guard or someone with you in all of your meetings and events. Most specially if you will be home late like this”. In one of my recent weddings, Pristeen (May 1, 2017 bride at Metrogate Silang) sent me a message saying that “were not only the ones who have enjoyed the program even the kids to our grandparents indeed had fun through your hosting skills. Saying thank you is not enough compared to the enjoyment you brought to our program. You’re really going to be the host of the whole Montoya clan”. Much glad to share as well photos with former newlyweds in the events of their friends and relatives. Plus get new clients in each ongoing celebrations. This post by Mam Eunice (April 30, 2016 bride at Bella Ibarra) also moved my heart “It's been almost a year since our wedding day. Thank you for being part of the happiest day of our lives Ms. Jam! We love you!”. 

Lastly, I am much honored to have hosted the wedding of our friends from other country. Grooms who are Canadian, Australian, Dutch, English, Singaporean, Turkish, Indian, American, Vietnamese and more. Much satisfied to successfully amalgamate our cultural differences and be able to serve them the wedding they prefer. For instance, Mr Shariq Imroz (Jan 12, 2016 guest at Hill Creek Gardens), stated, “You were a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed the wedding…Hopefully we can call you for events in India too.” In addition to this, other comment from a guest during July 11, 2016 at Viewfort Events Venue, “I am from London, Jam is really a professional host. She speaks English very well, so if you are a foreigner like me, you will be ok. Check out Jam the Greatest”. In relation to being truseted with special events of my co-suppliers, to mention a few, the wedding of Jerome Cuenca of Weddings Manila, debut of JR Alinsod’s daughter of JR Photography, wedding anniversary of the brother-in-law of the owner of Club Balai Isabel and more. In addition to this, I am becoming overwhelmed with some clients moving the dates of their wedding so as to fit my schedule. This is truly overwhelming. 

Indeed, Host Jam expanded her networks mainly through referral of former clients, requests of guests and recommendations of other events supplier. Through detailed meetings and follow-ups, she ensures to know what her clients want and need for their wedding. Moreover, her aim is to make the guests feel like kings and queens of the event by providing entertaining icebreakers and games. Through this, Host Jam guarantees that guests will share with you your memorable day all throughout to witness heartwarming exchanges of well wishes from friends and relatives and create memories to be kept forever so as to prove that life is worth celebrating.
